RAINBOW SMELT
A couple of dead fish
Rainbow Smelt are found in nearshore marine and estuarine waters, inland streams and lakes. They are one of the most valuable sport and commercial fish in the Great Lakes. Anglers take them on hook and line through the ice in winter and with dip nets in small streams during the spring spawning runs.
