COHO SALMON
Coho Salmon can be found in the Great Lakes, although it's original habitat is in Pacific coastal waters. The adult spawns in small streams, where the female deposits 2,500 to 5,000 eggs in the gravel during the fall. Both the male and female die after spawning. Coho Salmon is prized both as a sport fish for fighting and for eating. It supports a large commercial fishery.
